Debbie Lee Carrington

December 14, 1959 – March 24, 2018

Actress, stuntwoman, and ok, yes, dwarf, Debbie Lee Carrington died yesterday at the age of 58. At the time of this posting there are not details regarding the cause of death.

As an actress, Carrington appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, including Total Recall, Return of the Jedi, Seinfeld, In Living Color and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just to name a few. She is credited for stunt work in Titanic, Bride of Chucky, The Good Son and others.

I found very little (oh shut up) on her personal background other than that she was born in San Jose, her father was an insurance manager and her mother was a school teacher. She earned a degree in child psychology from the University of California-Davis in 1982.

Not to be outdone by its neighbor, Georgia, the state of Alabama offed one of its own last night. The two southern states are now in a dead heat (Oh yes I did) for executions this year, with one apiece.

Michael Eggers, 50, was put to death by lethal injection at 7.29 p.m. local time yesterday for the 2000 strangulation of his (ex) employer, Bennie Francis Murray. According to reports from CBS News, Eggers admitted to strangling Murray during an argument after she hired him to work concessions for a traveling carnival.

And you think the whole “beware of the carnies” thing is all an urban myth. You FOOLS.

Now that your appetites have been whetted, the main course. (Oh yes I did)

Eggers' last meal (the same as his imprisoned brethren) consisted of: Chicken creole, dirty rice (personally kicked around the kitchen floor by the family of Bennie Murray), turnip greens, cornbread, cream corn, cake, and a grape drink.  It is also reported that Eggers ate breakfast that morning consisting of "eggers" (last one, I promise), grits, prunes, two biscuits and gravy.

Wonder if that prune went to work before or after his execution? Both I reckon.

Condemned “Stocking Strangler” Carlton Michael Gary, is scheduled for execution by lethal injection at 7 p.m. today in Georgia for the 1977 deaths (presumably by stocking) of Florence Scheible, Martha Thurmond and Kathleen Woodruff in the Wynnton district of Columbus, Georgia.

According to the Ledger-Enquirer, Gary “has declined a request for his last meal but will be offered a grilled hamburger on Thursday at the Georgia’s Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. The meal also will include a hot dog, white beans, coleslaw and grape beverage.

That passes as a gourmet meal in Columbus. Just kidding. Or am I?
