Ruth St Pierre, if you see this, will you please email me at I have been trying to contact your mom, June, for 2 years. Would like to get the CDs

Ruth St Pierre

Just stumbled upon this link. My dad was Phil St. Pierre. He did make 2 records, one was a double album. I have converted them to CD's. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hi Joe,

Thanks! Got your email and a reply is on its way

Hi Phil,

Great news. I'm glad you found what you were looking for and did not have to rely on my antiquated technology!

I'd love a CD. My in-laws would get a kick out of it. I'm sure it's been many years since they've listened to their old Phil St. Pierre LP. I appreciate the offer. I'll email you my address.

Where abouts in Alaska do you live? I have a good friend who was raised in the Anchorage area. I'd love to visit Alaska one day.

Hope you and yours are enjoying the holiday season, and that 2013 is a great year for you.

Hi Joe,

Well, I found a copy of Phil St. Pierre's record and it's currently winging its way to me here in Alaska from Great Britain of all places. Once here, I'll be making both mp3 and CD copies. If you'd like a CD just email me your address and I'll be glad to send you one! If you'd like an mp3 version, I'll make a download link available to you and, now that I think of it, I'll probably make it generally available. Of course, you can have both!

My email address is:

Happy New Year!

Hi Phil,

Um, I was actually thinking about recording it on to a tape. Ha! I'm not that tech savvy, so a digital recording is probably beyond my skill level. Maybe my daughter can help me! Anyway, hope you found what you're looking for and don't have to rely on me and my cassette tape option.

Best to you and yours.

E. Phil Haley

Thanks Joe! I think I may have a line on an album but, if I can't come up with it, I'll take you up on your generous offer to make a recording.

Making a digital recording from vinyl entails a fair bit of effort. To put forth such effort on behalf of someone who contacted you out of the blue is something I never expected. However, after reading a few of your posts, this one included, I'm not at all surprised.

Here's hoping you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Phil - I honestly don't know where you might find any Phil St.Pierre recordings. I think my in-laws may have an old album of his. If so, I could try to record it for you if you'd like. Other than that, I imagine the internet has a host of used record sites that you could search. Anyway, let me know if you'd like me to try and record it if it's available.

Hi there, I know it's been almost a year since you wrote this piece but I was wondering if you might have any info regarding a way that I might obtain Phil St. Pierre's recordings.

I only recently became aware of the fact that they'd been made and, because I was once a gut-bucket plucker myself, I'd be extremely interested.

Phil St. Pierre and the Pioneer Inn was a hugely enjoyable part of my life in the mid to late 70's and any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks doll.

Yes, your father-in-law was on one of the albums.
I miss that old place.
