My throat surgery, previously scheduled for today, was cancelled and rescheduled for January 9.
I've had a cold, which included chest congestion and the expelling of a lot of lung butter. Apparently, for health and safety reasons but more likely because increased exposure to medical malpractice law suits should something go wonky and they accidentally croak me, Kaiser will not put me under if I'm sick.
SO - no surgery today. You can all breath a collective sigh of relief and pocket those good vibes until next month.

I care, so I'm putting this in my file.

Sorry to hear you need surgery. I'm glad they postponed your surgery. Just had a good family friend (Dave) pass away in October from complication of outpatient back surgery. He felt like he was getting a cold. Long story short he passed away early the next morning. He was 45-years-old and leaves behind a wife and two young daughters. BTW his surgery was at Kaiser. Still can't believe he's gone...

Wow. Yeah, quite the buzz kill, Queen Bee. Mine is throat surgery, so I would hope it's a little less serious than back surgery. Regardless I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Nice to hear from you though.
