More from the "because I know you care" files.
I mentioned recently my need for throat surgery. Well with a little squeaking, the wheel managed to get greased and they're going to slip me in on the morning of December 5. When I had initially called to schedule it I was told that the November and December surgery schedule was booked solid, and that they had a list of people waiting with baited breath for the January schedule to become available. Freakin' Kaiser. Don't get me wrong, overall I'm pretty happy with the service we typically receive, but God help you if ever you need to get in quickly. Unless you're willing to go to emergency, it can often be weeks before you can actually schedule an appointment with you PCP (that's primary care physician for you nimrods). What this usually means is that whatever you need to be seen for will have either ran its course or killed you before then.
Yeah, so December 5th I get the deep throat treatment. Mr. Kaiser has been giving it to me from both ends lateley. You'd think the SOB would at least spring for dinner.

Good luck, Joe. I wonder if it will compare to the colonoscopy.
