So does anybody remember Kimba? I used to watch this after school while eating pb&j sandwiches. If memory serves, which it seldom does, this was around 1971-72.
Oh, how I cry for my long-lost youth!! :(

OMG this show is right up there with The Brady Bunch and Paddle to the Sea for me! I used to "play" Kimba all the time-leaping from couch to couch! Speed Racer was on either before or after Kimba. I believe your dates are correct as I was in pre-school or K at that time. John was a fan as well. Thanks for bringing back those memories. :-)

Yeah, and this came on not long after Daktari was cancelled, so we could get our African lion fix.

You'll be unsurprised to learn that (as far as I know) this never made it to the UK (not when I was watching anyway, which was would have been a couple of years later I guess). I do "remember" Daktari, though, which was a great favourite, even if I persisted in calling it "Black Tarry".
