So there's this kid named Ben Weymiller, right? He's ten years old. That's him to the left there. Well he's got this little baby cousin named Mary who had to spend some time in one of the Mary Bridge Foundation Hospitals. That's her on his lap. Cute as a bug's ear.
So anyway, Ben would go to visit her all the time and during his many visits he began to notice that not all of the rooms had rocking chairs. In Ben's words: "I think that every sick baby deserves to be rocked by their parents."
So Ben began his own fund-raising campaign;, the Ben Weymiller Rock-A-Thon, to raise money for The Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and their sister facility, MultiCare. So far the kid's doing pretty well, nearly $83,000 at last count.
Check out Ben's site. I know money's tight but if you've got an extra buck or two left over from Christmas, consider throwing it Ben's way. Ben and Mary Bridge appreciate it. Yes it's tax deductible and all that good stuff.
OK, so do I get my Get Out of Hell Free card or what?
